Jacob concentrates his practice in the acquisition, financing, construction, leasing and disposition of single-asset and portfolio transactions of all real estate asset classes, including shopping center and stand-alone retail, industrial, multi-family, office, hospitality and mixed-use facilities.
Jacob has experience handling M&A transactions, including asset and equity purchases, joint ventures, equity participations, mergers, buy-outs and carve-outs, and regularly serves as outside corporate counsel to entrepreneurs, strategic investors and privately-held businesses.
His experience includes all forms of general corporate and transactional representation on behalf of publicly-held and private companies in various industries, including real estate, energy, information technology, fashion, hospitality and retail. Jacob’s client base is wide-ranging, and includes individual and institutional real estate developers, syndicators, private equity firms, emerging and mature technology companies, apparel companies, construction firms, consumer product manufacturers, retailers, and a variety of private business owners.
Jacob is also an active principal in a family-owned real estate business, managing retail, hotel, and multi-family assets. Jacob’s experience managing and developing properties gives him a first-hand perspective of the issues faced by owners and investors.
